Back from the Dark
Have you missed me? Because I’ve missed you!
Unfortunately I can’t say I’ve been missing because of something exciting like a black ops mission where I got to team up with Pierce Brosnan, dodge explosions and save the world.
I have been completing physical labor, dodging falling objects and saving my small corner of the world – we’re moved in!
And we did go dark because, well, I forgot my computer power cord and just wasn’t up to trying to write a post using my iTouch. I hate touch pads and that infernal spell checker is the bane of my existence!
So, thanks for your patience. I can report we have moved into the mouse-hole and it’s not as mousey as expected! It’s definitely cozy, but we will have plenty of space in the living room to do a cartwheel and possibly even roll out the rubber pads for some Pilates!
(The lard baby just lurched in protest.)
The ruffians are in love with the new place. There’s so much room to run rampant and they’ve been scooting around in their pink and purple Barbie Jeep for three days. Yesterday we put up a fence for the dogs, so hopefully we’ll be able to bring the pups up by the end of the week.
We have discovered our brood will grow by two.
I’m not pregnant with twins. Unless I’ve turned into a rodent and grown a long, furry tail. Otherwise this would be genetically impossible.
There are two of the fattest, sassiest grey squirrels running around here. They are pretty certain we’re supposed to feed them. They even threatened me – I was taking trash to the Dumpster and they sprang out from the metal innards and zipped away, chittering at me as they went.
My mom tells me they’re used to eating all the scraps. I think there are squirrel adventures waiting to be had.
Tres is teething hardcore today and has a running grumpy commentary. Dos just walked out of the bathroom covered in shaving cream. Uno is suspiciously silent… I think I’d better get back to life.
Just wanted to let you know we’re still alive. I’m looking forward to telling you all about the 4th of July musings I had!
How long does it take you to get settled in after a move?
We’ve lived in our house for, what, 6 years, and I don’t think I can say that we’re COMPLETELY moved in. How sad is that?
i moved into an apartment for the start up of this school year on june 20 and i’m still not fully unpacked…..or have places to put clothes (such as a dresser). and i only have 1 room (and some kitchen and bathroom stuff) to put a away…..you are doing much better than me! 😀
