3 Simple Questions: College by Kikolani
Ready for another expose of an amazing writer?
As you know, I’ve been asking people I think are ridiculously cool three simple questions so I can introduce them to you and their awesomeness can rub off on us all.
Next up is Kristi Hines, possibly better know as Kikolani. She’s a freelance writer and professional blogger. I subscribe to her updates and particularly love her Fetching Friday posts.
I asked her 3 Simple Questions about her college experience. Enjoy!
1. What’s the grossest thing that happened to you as a college student? “Probably the two worst things were a giant spider in my dorm room and a roommate who liked to borrow my clothes. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it was just shirts, pants, or shoes, but I found out (after the fact) that it also involved a swimsuit and some undergarments which I quickly tossed.”
2. What do you miss the most about being a college student? “I’ve always enjoyed learning and being in school. Even as a kid, I enjoyed shopping for school supplies and looked forward to the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. I’d still like to go back for the occasional class or two when I have some more free time.”
3. What was the most significant lesson learned in college? “College was a real introduction to life for me. I only stayed in the dorm for one semester and then had my own apartment after that. The freedom might have been a little too much, too fast. You get inundated by your first credit card offers, the ability to stay out and party all night with no rules to guide you otherwise, and in general you have the opportunities to make a lot of decisions – both good and bad.”
